Fed Ex told me NO WAY I was going to get my package of fish I had coming one time. She even told me 0 chance! They were on the door step a few hours later. Is there anyone in Memphis that you know that could pick them up and at least keep them alive?

I have only had FedEx mess up on delivery once, and they got it too me the next day which was a saturday, luckily just zoas. Now USPS, different story, never will I ship through them again, they have smashed packages and then wouldn't pay out on the insurance since they decided the package wasn't shipped properly (brand new box arrived smashed with a broken Bubbleking skimmer.) Then I have had them take a month to deliver something 500 miles and they wouldn't do anything about the $40 shipping that I had paid. FedEx, UPS, USPS are all going to mess up, but at least FedEx and UPS can tell you where the package is most of the time, USPS has no information usually until the day it arrives in your town, tracking numbers worthless with them.

Nah I don't know anyone in Memphis.... The corals can replaced it's not huge loss but
It's a loss.... Shipping was almost as much as the corals... They better refund my shipping or else they will have a empty crate thrown threw there window like the discount tire commercial lol!!!!!!! I declared the value on the package for 200$ and the shipping was 77$ so I'm out 277$ just what I got
Paid..... Rtfrrrrrrrr

Btw it normally says if there is a delay at the hub in tenessee it don't say anything today when tracking just talks about delays to japan from the quake....

That stinks man. I always hold my breath with fedex as you never know whether it will make it through Memphis or not. Fortunately, we are getting out of the winter months but it's not always weather related. And the difference in cost from this week to last time you shipped is called a "Fuel Surcharge". We should all get used to it. I wouldn't blame some of our sponsors to start charging a bit more for shipping as they will get hit the worst by the fuel issues. I typically pay vendors (that I know) here as a gift. Only if I have history with them though. I know this is always appreciated and it will now start helping make up the cost of the extra shipping charges. I am, by no means, endorsing sending paypal gifts. However, I have some solid relationships with several sponsors here and I typically pay that way with the ones I use most often.

If it's weather related, they will not refund you the shipping cost. If it's a screw up on their part, you should get a refund on shipping costs only. You will not get a refund on your corals. That much is guaranteed.

Dont ship on Mondays due to weekend back up..... never ship on a Thursday so if they do mess up it docent get stuck over the weekend.....I usually only ship on Tuesday or Wednesday....it sucks but I kind of expect them to mess up....and I always pick in store pick up....

Where do I even start about getting a refund is there a online form or do I go to the store and raise h e double hockey sticks????

You can do it online Troy. It's much easier if you have an account setup with them.

Personally I would go raise the issue in person. And like many others said, it doesn't matter who you ship with, they all mess up. As for USPS, tell em you're shipping snow globes LOL.

well i just called them back and this guy said honestly it won't be delivered until tomorrow i see these things every day and i wish i could tell ya something different but it's the truth.....the best we can do.... so i go on and say i will have to refund his money so how do i get a refund he went ahead and credited me the shipping the charge because he said it's there fault there was no weather problems " and thanks to a great full member here he gave me the flight path and weather report it was clear so they couldn't lie if they wanted to lol..." then i told him the person won't be home tomorrow so they waived the signature and are gonna leave it there on the porch for him and me...... maybe everything will be okay i used a 40hr heat pack and packed it well who knows it was 4 sticks and a chalice.... i think the chalice will be fine but the sticks i can only imagine.... another positive note was i dropped them off at 5 so they have only been in the box right now for 20hrs lol....

I had an issue with Fed ex too. I think they must be trained to blame it on the weather because I had a package ship to me from Medford, OR to Portland OR ( 4 hours away) and there was a delay. The lady on the phone said it was due to the winter weather. I said that was bs because there was no snow, and it was sunny and other people in Portland got their packages. It turned out to be an issue with the driver. My advice is to be sure to talk to a manager.

Wow the first person I talked to actually just called me back.... She said I see you were advised that it will delivered tomorrow and you are requesting it to be left at the door I said correct.... She said okay and we credit your card for the shipping thank you have a nice day... At least it wasn't a total loss....;)

Troy, i've received sps second day in similar weather and they all lived but one. Its suppose to be a good temp tomorrow so i bet you have a decent chance for survival. At this point just can't stress about it as its a done deal. Heck i ordered coral one time and they delivered it to the hospital : )

Yup I just told him all we can do is laugh it's out of our hands if something survives great if not I'll send a new package ups!!!! Ahahahahahahab lol
