Hello reefers. I posted on here a while back asking about LPS ideas for my 32 gallon biocube. I have trumpets and candy canes (I know they’re probably the same thing but they have a slightly different look to each so I call them differently). I was recommended Acan lords and Leptastrea. I’m wondering if the acans, which I really want, will send out super long sweepers once they grow and hurt my candy canes? will sweepers hurt my fish by any chance? How do I tell the difference between an acan lord and the butthole kind of acan that has a strong sting?

I also really like the look of blasto Merletti and have read online that their sting is not that potent. If acans can be an issue I’ll happily go with blasto because I think they are gorgeous

I only have a four stripe damsel (who used to host a nem so I think he’s imortal) and a 2ft-ish long engineer goby who I’m sure can handle himself.

Real estate in my tank is at a premium. I’m gonna have to redo the aquascape most likely for something with long sweepers. And I really like candy canes so id prefer them not get roasted.

Also plan on getting pulsing Xenia, zoa, anif there are no compatibility issues. Images of my tank attached.

Acans would be great. They don’t have super long sweepers, if any. I’ve never seen them anyway lol
Blastos would be good too.
I’ve seen pretty long sweepers on Euphillia, Favia, leptoseris so those I would stay away from.
Cyphastria is another good one for a smaller tank
