The other day I noticed a few of these guys sproting it up. not too sure what they are .I can also noticed they've attached themselves to a few of the snails.

what are they and what's the best way to get rid of them?

Looks like pineapple sponges. They are filter feeders. I don't think they are bad, pluck them out if you don't like them.
