Henionchus Red spots on fins

Hi everyone, hope all is well. We purchased this Henionchus butterfly two weeks ago from our local Fish store. He is in our quarantine tank. We noticed about four days ago that he had developed ich, so we started copper treatment. Last night I noticed these red spots on his fan. I have no idea what it could be. He is eating fine, and seems happy copper currently at 2.25. All other parameters are good. Ammonia zero nitrate zero nitrite zero.

looks like hemorrhaging from an injury or trauma associated with netting or poor water quality. How are you testing water ?
What foods are you feeding?

I use the API test kits, if something shows up I back it up with a Hannah tester. There was an ammonia spike a few days ago, but I caught it within 12 hours. He will only eat baby mysis, and live brine

Looking at your closeup pic, this might be Ich dropping off causing microhemorrhages. That being said, it's always a good idea to begin Copper right away after the fish has started eating. Speaking of which, Baby Mysis and Live Brine is not sufficient. What other foods have you tried?

A second possibility is he has Flukes. What is his behavior like? Any scratching or flashing?

A second possibility is he has Flukes. What is his behavior like? Any scratching or flashing?

I have tried larger mysis, Krill, angel frozen mix. He will chew on the bigger mysis, or the Krill, but just spit them out.

I would follow up the copper treatment with praziquantel, just to rule out flukes.

I whenever I see hemorrhage in fins - I think bacterial infection. However, just they they are dots - suggests an individual parasite. Usually is best not to mix medications - however, it might be reasonable to start praziquantel while the fish is in copper. If they continue to worsen, consider an antibiotic.

I did, I tried it again this morning after seeing the comments on here. I am going to try to cut up some of the bigger mysis tonight and see if I can get him to eat it.

This guy is getting progressively worse, he is still eating. I have copper at 2.4 temperature 80°, zero ammonia and added kanaplex yesterday.

This is Ich and your fish needs to be in CopperPower or Coppersafe. Is he eating yet? He doesn't look that thin yet. I wouldn't ramp it up as Copper needs time to work.

Those spots didn't show in your earlier pictures - this is clearly an advanced case of ich. Coppersafe at 2.25 to 2.5 ppm will work, but it takes 3 to 5 days, and the infection may get worse.....
