After a long debate from bringing back a childhood memory, and watching my wife with her freshwater tanks thrive, I chose to take a plunge back into Saltwater tanks. Haven't done this since I was a kid with my father.

Currently running a 55 gallon tank.

Plans will be to understock and get into some corals. Hate on me but for now softies until I can confidently handle hard corals. Glad to be here, and I'll post my experience so far with this new tank of mine!

Softies are not easier than hard corals. Biggest myth out there. Either tolerate different types of neglect.

A purple stylo or pocillopora for instance will tolerate nutrient swings that will melt zoanthids.
