Amazing tank! How did you like the f aptasia? I used it for the first time yesterday and so far I’m a believer
It seemed good. I liked the application method. I waited 30 min and turned my flow back on and it blew some of it all over and slimed up some acros. I immediately turned flow off and left it for another hour and then it was all fine.

Some did drop onto a chalice and killed it where it landed so as mentioned in other threads, be careful. :)

Had to put my hands in the tank to try out F Aiptasia tonight so I figured I would take a few pics. You can see a couple of the little jerks in a few of these pics.

Great photos. Quick question what did you paint your stand with ? I am in the process of skinning my stand. I was thinking IKEA for the doors, but it will be about $400. No I am thinking of going 2nd hand and painting.

I am pretty sure it was just a small can of gloss Valspar from Lowes.

Removed the rock on the left side of my tank that had a bunch of orange ricordea and gsp on it. I cut that big acro off and mounted it on a new rock of similar size. Trimmed back the gap and will do a better job of not letting it get on the new rock.

I put the other rock in my fuge and moved some of my marine pure blocks and was surprised to see something had made nickel sized tunnels thru all the pieces and some were almost ground down to nothing. Wonder what it was?

Threw in a Rusty and a Pacific Pygmy Angel. Rusty seems to be doing ok but the Pygmy is getting beat up bad by my hawkfish and then the sixline if it swims too high in the water column. Hopefully things will be better when home from work.

Well it looks like the wrecking crew have allowed each new angel some territory. The Rusty has the right side mostly out front and the Pygmy has the left side under the purple cap and nearby rock. Hopefully now we are in the stage where they slowly venture forth and get more comfortable. Both have eaten the last 2 feedings.

My pink lemonade, that blue turaki (WWC Jack Frost), that cool one on my cover photo is hardy. I find most of them are. Imo acros are hardier than montis

Huh! Very interesting! I've been wanting to try some more acropora, but there's nothing around here that's very interesting.

Battle box is the best way to get into good acros imo. You can set a dollar amount and then Adam picks some great Frags for you. I always end up with way more value than what I spent, plus the Frags are long time aquaculture and pretty hardy. He can match your lights too so you don’t really have to acclimate.
