Just wanted to say hi from a retreaded reef hobbyist and a newbie to Reef2Reef. I had several tanks many years ago and life just got in the way. I retired and so I set up my dream tank! I set up the UNS R180 with many bells and whistles. I have a SmartReef Roller mat, a Octopus Regal 200s protein skimmer, a refugium, 4 EcoTech MP40s, a AquaUltraviolet Classic Inline UV sterilizer, a TradeWind chiller, 150 lbs of live rock, 60 lbs of CaribSea Special Grade Reef Sand, 60 lbs of live ocean sand, 3 Dalua Illumagic X4, two 65gal tub mixing station, several Hydros units for automation, ATO and AWC.
It was installed by WWC on August 24, 2025. Much has changed since the days of undergravel filters and one of the main reasons for getting back in to the hobby was due to the fact we can keep corals, many more unique animals and the fact that many are aquaculture protecting the reefs. I look forward to interacting with all of you here.
