Hi nitrite and nitrates ? Need help please

I took a 1/2 second look at the whiskers of the worlds weakest reef tank animal, lysmata, and stamp this cycle fully done. nitrate is for algae tuning, I don't even believe there is free nitrite here even if the test says it/due to misreads stated above.

You have living animals in there, your tank is cycled. lol
Just a word of caution though, that CC starfish, is a known coral eater. FOWLR tanks, or food for harlequin shrimp.

Yes im aware they are a known coral eater but this one actually wont even touch my corals. He gets close but he just sifts the sand.

And yes homer i have livestock in there and some coral. I thought my tank was cycled thats why im freaking out about these readings. Everything seems to be doing okay except my gonopora so i dont want to drastically change anything because i have such a small setup.

Everyone reefs differently, who am I to say your setup is wrong?

I would add the pigments on the rocks do a lot for cycle confirmation, that's real coralline it seems in the details above as the coralline painted rocks don't have any non coralline areas, they're 100% purple even though the tank is 4 days old lol.
this appears to be a true live rock transfer skip cycle. being able to house the living animals despite the low level sustained readings was actually a characteristic of the pigments seen on the rock, pretty neat nitrifier confirmation pathway.

The tank is 5 months old and the rock were transferred from a established tank. I added live bacteria for the cycle ...live rock sand. and a few other things in my sump that you see in the picks. Started with a cleaner shrimp and 3 clownfish. Then slowly added coral recently. And the hangover box with more microalgae and them bacteria sponge things that provide more surface area for bacteria. I dont have a separate quarantine tank and im getting coral in the mail soon. 10 more medium frags and a frag rack that holds 20 should be here friday. So i appreciate the help because i want my tank to be up to par when they arrive.

Id love to hear what you would do differently if you were me. as long as you dont say buy a bigger better everything lol

Really only thing I would have done differently.....
I hate HOB overflows, and canister filters. I would have drilled the tank, and used a ghost style overflow. I also would never use a canister filter as they are a maintenance task I do not want.
But as I said, nothing wrong with your setup. Just know what the pros and cons are of using what equipment you use.
