A bio brick is simply a place for bacteria to colonize.
Yes, you can still add nitrifying bacteria.

*Update* 24 hours after 50% water change and dosing of bio-spira. Ammonia has dropped to .5 ppm and Nitrites to .5… Nitrates are now present and up to 40 ppm

Great. Woke up this morning and he has seemed to regain almost all lost coloration. However, not feeding and odd behavior continues for today.

Dump the whole bottle in. Ignore instructions to add so many capfuls at once
