High Ca without precipitation?

Certainly. Doubling calcium from 420 to 840 ppm is no more likely to cause calcium carbonate precipitation from seawater than raising the pH from 7.9 to 8.2,

Yes. My test kits were altered by a mean person. My Salifert CA test kit only goes to 120 ppm.

To further my confusion I had what I thought a kalkwasser overdose which would throw chemistry way off as well.

I slowly added 351 ml (50 ml a day) of part B B-ionic to correct a false issue.

My Alk test seems accurate. But truth is everything could be incorrect. Magnesium as well. By making adjustments I stopped STN on a stylaphora. Polyp extension is good. Color is good. My GSP have grayish skin but good green color.

I’m making a 3 gallon water change in hope it helps.
