no bacteria? but my ammonia and nitrites drop overnightTwo weeks? There’s no bacteria there. Sorry. I wouldn’t add anything
Did you do a Dr Tim's fishless cycle or something similar, or did you do the old school shrimp in the tank method. If the latter, you aren't ready for fish yet.nothings in the tank and the tank is 2 weeks old
Can you post a picture of the tank?
Dr Tim’s.Did you do a Dr Tim's fishless cycle or something similar, or did you do the old school shrimp in the tank method. If the latter, you aren't ready for fish yet.
Let's back up... How exactly did you cycle the tank? Adding fish two weeks in is rushing. Please read the thread I shared as well as the other sticky threads in this forum and slow down. Nothing good happens fast in this hobby.i don’t have enough water to do a 50% but i could postpone my fish getting to monday
saltwaterIs this a freshwater tank??
Agreed, especially without a sump that houses a lot of biomediaYou need a LOT more rock than that. Like 10x that amount. Good rule of thumb is a minimum of 0.5lb per gallon with 1lb per gallon being ideal.
While I 100% agree that the tank is not ready for fish, what makes you equate high nitrates with an uncycled tank? With nitrates that high your tank is not cycled; why jepordize new fish when you can wait until your water parameters are under control?
ahhh okie this is overwhelming what do i need to doPlease don’t add any fish. I recommend soaking up all the info about cycling a tank.
+1BB is not in the water, it's in the rocks, sand, and media
yea apiHow do you know your nitrates are 100? Let me guess api??????
Are you using tap water?ahhh okie this is overwhelming what do i need to do
