We ordered some Florida Cerith Snails and one arrived with something attached to its shell. I don’t think it’s aptasia because it doesn’t retract when you touch it or remove it from the water. It’s actually a bit stiff, maintaining its shape out of water.

Apologies, my pictures aren’t the best. It’s light red in color.

Can you get a pic in white light?

I tired to clean it up with the white balance a bit on my phone and it almost looks like ogo or some other macro algae that has attached to the shell. White light pic would be very helpful though.

Still a hair blurry, but does look like ogo. It is a great macro and most herbivores will devour it.
