Noticed something bright red on some live rock in a dark section of the sump a few weeks ago. 2” red parts.

It’s in a hard to photograph area, tonight I crawled in with flash light, check it out!

Had this rock either 2 yrs or 10 yrs idk.
I need to get back in there and see if it’s a crazy tube worm? Idk, but it’s cool!

If there is a shell I was going to say flame scallop as well. That's quite the discovery (and free). Wow! Even if it isn't a scallop it looks cool!

Edit: For typo. Grrr.

Thank you for the good read. Looks like the phyto dosing and turkey basting detritus in the DT are key...maybe high nitrate and phosphates are helping too. Thanks everyone!

My flame scalop envy is showing. Congrats! That’s wild
Thanks @saltybench! It came in on some liverock and didn’t know it was there until it got larger.
Imo, if smaller flames were available people would have better success. As well, think it appreciates the weekly detritus storm that happens when turkey basting live rock, daily phyto dose and excessive livestock.
Nitrates average 15 and phosphates .07.

Can’t move it to the display, Copperband and Emperor love shellfish.
