Nope. I blew the dead tissue out with a turkey blaster. Big enough to put a finger, whole way through. No critters in it. Didn’t dip or treat it. It’s healed, did it again, healed again, and now keeps growing despite being shaved by the gyre once or twice, and kind of condemned to a far side of the tank. My few softies are growing way to large and I worry about them in the tank with all my lps. First world problems FTW.

The only concern I have are the yellow spots on the coral. That could be disease. And yes the coral could still be splitting and making more. Often if a coal is stressed to the point of possible death it will do just that to keep from completely dying out.
If it were mine I'd use iodine, as someone else suggested, but not a dip and all out bath. There are instructions on the net dealing with yellow spot disease.

More first world problem here
Caused by two things- A worm which I dont believe it is BUT CHECK underneath.
Its likely shedding and reproduction- they do this and can make themselves ugly. They then drop frags of themselves , sort of like cloning
Also add both iron and pottasium to the water and assure they get medium flow for their overall health.
