How aggressive are mini max carpets?

Ive got a small maxi carpet nem (at least I think thats what he is, came to me as a feebee) he is super small though. Couldnt eat anything. Its haddoni nems Ive heard are super aggressive. I would wait for others to chime in because when I asked this question the consensus was a big fat no it kills fish

The larger Carpets - Haddoni and Gigantea are the aggressive carpets. However Mini Maxi Carpets are quite peaceful, and a healthy fish is unlikely to get stuck on them. If you want to play it incredibly safe, go for RFAs. These guys are barely even sticky and their sting is I believe the weakest of the anemones we can keep.

Not sure about mixing nems especially in a small tank? Lets see what the nem folks say about mixing these kinds?

And just because I heard this once; "You should be safe if you sneak up on the tank real slowly so they don't jump out at ya." Sorry, but I have been wondering how that puffer is doing? Did he quit smoking yet? :smiling-face-with-sunglasses: :smiling-face-with-halo:

Maxi mini are pretty peaceful, sticky but peaceful, never seen one actually catch anything ever.

Ive only seen mine attempt to eat a large Genicanthus Angel that was on deaths door, and I have plenty of wrasses, shrimp and a goby that could easily be munched by him but they’re all safe.

You should be ok. I know anemones move but try to get it to stay away from the BTA. I’ve wedged anemones in rocks and had them stay where I wanted them to. The mini max actually do pack a good sting. Doesn’t feel as bad as a Ritteri Though.

I have 4 of them. They are not aggressive but small fish can definitely get eaten if accidentally land on it since it is very sticky.

So i got bta's, a adhesive nem, mini maxis and rfa's in one tank, yes it's a 200 gallon but i don't think it matters.
Technically they can eat fish, however they don't go and hunt. If something touches the tentacles the nem wraps herself around it. My fish and inverts never got anywhere near this. I actually got a stars and stripes shrimp living on my adhesive nem. Sexy shrimp can host mini maxis. Mine stay in the same place once they found it, most never moved an inch from where i originally placed them.
If you ask me they are perfectly safe and you will enjoy them.
After all i have seen a picture of a morph eating a bangaii cardinal before.

I have 2 of them
They don’t rarely ever move and have been in the same spot for 3+ years

I've had 2 in my 40g for almost two years now with no issues. I've had some wandering around, but never out of the sand bed.

I also have rock flowers and BTAs. I think the mini carpets have beautiful colors and textures. Definitely an underrated anemone. The only anemone I occasionally regret adding is the BTA due to the size, splitting, and stinging.

These are even better if you can get an anemone crab in them. I used to have one and it was a ton of fun to watch.
