I do believe that is a spider by looking at the appendage joints.

As for eradication these would be in the "harder to get rid of" group.
Since they do have a nervous system they potentially can be treated with in tank medications but not without risk.

To be honest, I've never read ways to remove Pycnogonids (which it is) that I can recall. :-/ Not that there aren't ways, I just don't remember reading anything in particular on the topic.

Does it look like this? I got 2 acro spiders off some frags about 2 weeks ago from a sponser. The zoa spiders have a thicker body, and are rather flat in appearance.

Yes that is a spider that eats coral for sure. Oh boy.:)
Not much kills them you can stun them and remove them thru dipping.
Corals need to be QT for for placing them into a Display tank. As these guys breed fast like all bad things in the aquarium.

I had them, took a aggressive interceptor treatment to get rid of them but then again I am not completely sure that they are gone. I did 3 treatments as normal, for my 180g I used 1 chewable and let it sit for 12 hours then did a 20g water change for 3 weeks. After I found them the third time I did 3 treatements in a week and let it sit for 24hrs each time before doing a 20g water change. I have not seen them since but that is not to say that they will not appear again. My tank is full of leopard wrasses and I still had them so not sure if any fish would eat them. Here is a picture of the ones that I had.

That is them. Would removing all corals to qt starve out any in dt? I can dip and manually remove in qt no problem. Gonna do that anyway the rocks are full of things I don't trust...

Mine came on an acro frag. Coral rx was enough to get them off of the plug before going into the tank. There was two of them, both lived in the coral rx water for hours before I threw them in the toilet.

Judging by the small, circular body and appearing to have 5 legs, I would +1 on brittle sea star.
