How do my corals look?

Hello,

I am new to the coral game and wanted to ask how do my corals look? I have had them for about a month and a half, but I am battling a bryopsis outbreak from my tank crashing. I have been dosing Reef Flux per the directions, so I am hoping to get it under control quickly! This is a 30G aquarium. I appreciate any advice or information!! Thanks!

Picture is to dark cant see anything. What are your complete current parameters? Harsh chemicals destroy your biome. Are you sure you have briopsis and not just GHA.

Picture in white lights will be better, cannot really see. Curious to know what is this coral in your pic? Can you please mention what kind of lights you have and what do you have for flow?

Maybe this will help. All parameters are good except phosphate is high which is what I am working on. I tried to treat GHA first, but it didn't work and this stuff is really stuck to the rocks which is why i thought bryopsis. I think it is a type of zoa coral. Also, i have a blade coral grow and pushing about 1k flow on pulse mode

Unfortunately it's hard to give you a detailed response because we don't have your parameters, age of the tank, par levels, etc... corals decline from the inside out so they can appear fine for weeks or months before they show the stress externally.

I'm still wondering what this coral is - is it a duncan? What ever it is, I think its reaching for light but I'm not sure. As mentioned above, more info on the tank will help.

30G running for 1 year. PH 8.5, Salinity 36, temp 78, Mag 1350, Alk 12, Calc 462, Nitrate 0.2, phosphate 0.07

Coral blade set for 23% Royal, 55% Blue, and 6% White from 9am-6pm

Yes, it is a Duncan. When I bought it was only 2 heads now its like 6.

Your alk is to high and your nitrates are bottomed out so your corals are starving to death. Your tank looks dark suggesting par may not be adequate. I would rent a par meter and map your tank.

At one year your tank should be starting to stabilize and be more predictable. One of the very best things I did for my coral was renting a par meter and discovering how low my par actually was. Once I got it where it needed to be my corals took off and flourished.

Id bump that light up to 50%.

Feed more, low nutrients.

All is very high. Work on lowering this SLOWLY over a month.
