How do you determine where the best place is to mount your SPS?

I've heard some move it around and see how it does in different locations in the tank. Every time I do that it seems that the fish, snails or crabs knock it over and I’m constantly picking it up. Thus the coral is not really giving the best indicator. Or do you just take the best guess of where you want that particular color/texture and mount it there?

I mount mine on small pieces of live rock and then anchor them with a small amount of epoxy to the live rock structure. I can just pop them loose without breaking off the SPS and more them to a different place. The SPS just encrusts on the live rock piece and is "modular".

Search for ( acro placement or coral placement). And some threads should pop up.... make sure you edit search settings to search back few months....

I try to match my PAR with the PAR they were at in the LFS. Luckily my favorite LFS is 10 minutes away (Reef Paradise). So i put them in order of PAR and COLOR.
