Over the past week @dbl has been asking you how far off the water you have your lights mounted. Now what I want to know is how you get your lights there. Hanging kit, canopy, custom leg mounts, wall brackets? Please share your mounting solution below :) personally I have my metal halide t5 suspended from my ceiling :)

Please feel free to share pictures

my ati fixture is hanging from conduit pipe that's mounted to the back of my stand.
Do you bend your own? I will be doing the same using IMT (rigid Alum.)
Here's my current getup

I had a very poorly designed canopy that came with my tank. I cut out the top, and mounted an aquaticlife T5 hybrid on top. I then hacked off the first ten or so inches of the canopy, stained where I made my cuts, and added latches so it would sit securely.

I put other cause there wasn’t a choice for an arm. My tank is a measly 60 cube with a Radion x15 g4 mounted on an arm.
I'll add it to the poll ;)

Hehe... ok, so I bred and showed Scottish Terriers for 18 years or so. We have grooming tables we put the dogs on to groom. Those tables have an arm with a lead line hanging from them so the dog won’t jump off. You may have seen them at a grooming place. Anyway, when I saw how you hung your lights, that’s the first thing I thought of. Your hanging arms look like you took them off a grooming table. Pretty smart idea!

I used 90 degree conduit pipe threaded elbows instead of bending the pipe. (was my dads idea) since we got the thicker pipe that was a lot harder to bend.

Right now I have the Aquatic life fixture hanging from PVC arms mounted to a shelf behind the tank, it's functional but a little cluttered. I have my vacation next week and plan to make a box for the fixture to sit in and suspend that from the ceiling.
