I have been just washing my filtersocks in the sink ringing them out til the water is clear.THis is real time consuming how do you guys go about washing your filtersocks?

Throw them in the washer all by them self with a little bleach or vinegar

I rinse them until the water comes out clear and then I soak them in a 5 gallon bucket with a half cup of bleach for about two days. Then i rinse them again and put them in a 5 gallon bucket with dechlorinator overnight. Then I rinse them again and let them dry.

I didn't even know that you can clean them so easily. All this time I have been replacing them...

= FAIL

My wife didn't like the smell of mine, I was banned from putting it in the washing machine :(

to key to not making your wife upset is to run an empty load after you wash the socks just to clear everything out.

i turn mine inside out and use just water, no bleach or vinegar and let them air dry.

i got lucky and when one of the local lfs closed i got about 30 socks so i dont have to wash that often

I wash off all the big junk then i soak them in a 5 gal bucket with bleach for 24 hrs. Then i throw them in the wash with a cup of bleach with extra rinse. Then let them dry. I have about 20 of them so using the wash is easier. Run the wash after you clean your socks. Wife wont even know. :)

I turn mine inside out, throw in the washer and run them on the gentle cycle. After the initial wash I turn them back right-side-in and wash them again with a quick pour of bleach. Then just to be sure all the bleach is out, I rinse them one more time.

I shake mine out in a bucket and harvest snails, crabs, pods occasional lost objects then turn them inside out and hose them out real good, into the washer with a cup of bleach, I think its the only way to get the buried and embedded crap out of the fiber so they flow properly
