Heyoo guys! I have a question. What tools do you use for reefing and what are their purposes? I am really interested to know! I will start first.

Toothbrush : To scrub rocks, pumps and wavemakers.
Small piece of dish washing sponge : To clean front glass.
Skewer : To push my hermit crab away from corals if its being a disturbance
Turkey baster : To feed corals and suck floating debris out of water
15ml measuring cup : To mix coral food

These are about the only tools I use. So, what tools do you guys use?

Tubing brushes, pull through brushes for long pipes. Blue kitchen scrubbers. Toothbrushes. Wire cutters, bone cutters, 4” grinder with diamond wheel. Long tweezers with angle tips

Rubbermaid electric toothbrush thing i bought recently to scrub the pumps in tank instead of routing cords to remove and reinstall them. Works ok, and has been submerged fully many times now and still working like a champ.

The hygger waterchange gun is pretty awesome too, I got one brand new with a tank breakdown I bought a while back, it just came with a bunch of equipment I really didn’t want or need. This is something I thought would have been a gimmick, but it works so well once I added a heavier kink resistant hose and ball valve to control the flow rate i won’t be without one in the future. I have had to take it apart to fix it, it loosen up inside occasionally and starts to suck air and lose siphon, but easy fix with a just a small screwdriver

toothbrush- yes
baster-yes
measuring cup yes

Also have the old people grabber tool so I dont always have to stick my hands in. On that topic, also have the elbow yellow gloves in case a giant peice of rock has to come out.

Bought a 4 inch wide scraper from home depot. It is a razor blade so I have to be careful. Such a great purchase since it works better than my other methods.

If new dosing pumps counts, I have the DOS with my apex and its a really nice doser. So well built.

Most of what I use has been mentioned by other people already, so here's something I don't see mentioned often:

Portable inverter (Ryobi in my case, but I'm sure other brands make them).

Basically, it gives me a mobile outlet that isn't tied in to the mess of cords that is my equipment area. It's great for moving water between containers - just plug in a small pump with a hose attached and I can pull water out of anything without siphons or anything else. It can also double as a battery backup for internal water movement in a power outage... won't be great, but it'll be better than nothing.

Forget all these tools - I just need one tool below and constantly fragging to get more!

Magic Money Tree GIF by STARCUTOUTSUK

But if I can’t find the tool above, I use these:
- disposable gloves & armpit length gloves
- plastic bins for fragging off amzn
- fragging kit
- old credit cards for getting coralline algae off
