There are many ways to skin a cat in this hobby, but I think most people will agree that there ranges for acceptable parameters, and the important thing is that you maintain consistency. But what if your parameters differ from where you buy your coral? For example, many (most?) people keep their tanks at 78 degrees, but I know a local coral grower who keeps his tanks at 75. His corals do very well in his tanks, but would they struggle when moving to my tank if I keep mine at 78? Same type question applies to other parameters - PH, Alk, Mag, ...
