I've had no water changes in 10 months.
Everything is great in the tank and water parameters are great.
I do have a skimmer , socks and run carbon and GFO. I also clean the algae once a week and feed my 10 fish once per day. (also have 3 large LPS corals and the tank is 200 gal)
I also dose cal and alk with additional additives (potassium, iron, iodine and bio active elements) once every week.

Cal 400
Alk 8.12
Mag 1400
Everything else 0
But I do have a small growth of caulerpa growing in the main display that can be creating the zero readings.

I had another tank where I went a few years without water change but that did not do as good without a skimmer. I was also a little new to the game back then too. ;)

No water change since 2014 :)
NO3 - 1,5ppm
PO4 - 0,02
Ca - 440
Mg- 1350
We test our water at Triton Lab and adjust many of the parameters with their additives.
This is a tank at my work which I'm curator of, a small public aquarium in Gothenburg Sweden.

(This is a part of the tank, it's a long tank so FTS is harder to do :) )

I've been about a week and a half. I just transferred my entire setup from a 55 gallon sumpless to a 75 gallon with a sump. I'll get my fuge going this weekend and get my nitrates and phosphates down to near zero and get a filter sock going to calm things down. Then I'll get my dosing pump to regulate everything and I should be able to go long periods of time without as well.

When I had my 180g and 75g tied together with a 180g sump/refugium & DSB, I never did water changes... well maybe a small 25g change every 4 to 6 months.

Now, with a 40g cube and just a 20g Brute and a filter sock for a sump (no skimmer, no fuge) I do a 5 or 10g water change every 2 weeks.

Awesome tanks guys I actually have to dose nitrates can never keep them even with the 30 fish I had.

Im doing the same in my 220. No water changes in about 11 months. Have the usual Cal, Alk and Mag on my dosser but recently had to add th sodium nitrate as my nitrates dropped to 0 and I lost 3 SPS colonies. Now on the dosser at 10ml a day it's back up 5ppm and things are finally starting to take off again.

what is sg? I am trying to figure out what did the heat make swing in your tank so I can watch out for it lol.
Salinity. And I'm assuming he is talking about evaporation which lead to salt creep. I have the same issue.

I change my water once a week to keep things like calcium up. It's a 13.5 gallon nano so parameters drop off pretty quickly.

ahh ok that makes since. I can't remember when I did my last water change which would probaly be sad but I had 0 nitrates and 0 phosphates very low nutrients which led to Dinos and I needed to get those nutrients back up I actually had to dose for phosphates and feed multiple times a day for nitrates fish loved the multiple feeding they are pretty fat now lol. I am gearing up for a water change this weekend which will only be 10% which is 15 gallons since my tank is 150g. Ihowever do have to top off my sump though maybe once a week.

I haven't done a water change in maybe 4 or 5 months now? I haven't tested either until yesterday (when I found one of my wrasses look sick). all corals are growing. SPS polyp extension is great

All params are good! within range.
