Personally I am not a fan of jump starting the nitrogen cycle. I feel it can cause more problems leading to a longer cycle if you are not careful and know what you are doing . I have been in this hobby for 15 plus years and have started many tanks from dry rock , new water and dry sand , it takes 30 days for a cycle to complete. You can almost set a calendar to it. Don't use dead shrimp, snake oil in a bottle , straight ammonia ...nothing , just set it and forget it . Count down 30 days add your first hardy fish or starter coral wait about 2 weeks repeat until you have a flourishing reef tank ! If you still want to jump start the cycle I am sure you will get tons of suggestions , best of luck and know nothing good happens in this hobby fast , so why does everyone want to skip that rule with the initial cycle??

That's what I'm aiming for 4-6 weeks cycling time .. then I will add live rock from my current tank and slowly transfer everything

How big is your current tank to the one you want to transfer to? I have moved countless tanks or have upgraded many tanks in my time. As long as you have a decent amount live rock I don't see why you cant transfer everything now. I start with new sand always (never use old sand). Set up the new tank, place new sand in bottom of new tank , drain old tank( just above the old sand) , keep the water from old tank in a clean trash can or storage tote. Place corals and or fish in tote with old water. Aquascape the empty new tank with the old tanks live rock filling in with some new rock ( I find it easier to scape with an empty tank), add premade new water mixed to the same parameters as old tank water, fill up new tank about half with new premade seawater , place your corals and or fish in new tank , fill with the old tank water and top off if need be with the new premade water. Leave the tank alone and try not to keep rearranging things to much before everything gets settled in their new home. ( keep your hand out!!!!)---That's something I struggle with still after all this time !!;) ....... The largest upgrade I did this with was a 60 gallon to a 150 gallon . P.s I just remembered your new tank already started the cycle with measured amounts of ammonia. Using any of that water in the tank wouldn't be advisable so rethinking, the better plan at this point I would wait it out and let that tank finish its thing. But if you ever want to upgrade again or downgrade is even a less of a risk , I have done it this way 10 times or more.

Very nice tanks ! Yes, if you don't have the correct lighting you want, no reason to switch. Looking forward to see the end result ...will be following!!
