How old is your Chalice or Acan?

Lowsingle- that's a fantastic looking chalice. It's good to hear that people are having long-term success with them.

I had this chalice for over 3 years. bought as a lil frag from a lfs. Was never into lps or softies but thought it was cool. turned brown and was neglected for the most part untill it started coloring up under t5's so i made room for it to receive some light from my metal halides recently.

Simply Stunning!

btw, i ran out of room for sps so i became a chalice fanatic this year.

I hear ya!!!!! I'm new to the hobby, but my addiction to chalices is out of control!

I have had a few chalices foraround 4 years. Prob a little longer... goes by fast when you get old. I do have 3 other LPS corals and a Brittle Star that are 16 years old and counting.

I've had a pink Echino since September 2001 and I recently lost my Red and Gray Acan Lord Ive had since 2003ish. I have to check some old pictures for exact dates.

I had a large collection of Indonesian Lords, but lost most of them when the Aussie stuff started to get imported.

Got my pink watermelon chalice from Hugo around 2005. Still have that, along with a number of other chalices from before then. Been collecting chalice since 2001.

Do feed your Brittle Star directly or does he just scavenge? 16 years is awesome! That star is older than me

had two chalices for about 4 years. One has been fragged a few times, the other was fragged for the first time two weeks ago it was about 6"x7".

I just lost an echino which I had for 6 years...was12" x 8". I bought it when it was 3"x4"...when you could still get a full sized colony for less than $75.
