Looks like you don't really need any cutting on your plumbing. Remove unions and carefully lift the tank off the stand. Lay on its side when move. Be VERY VERY careful not to pull on those pipes while the bulkheads are attached to the tank. Otherwise it could possible damage the tank.
2nd, pre-made saltwater for your tank for at least 50-75%. RODI alone is not going do any good. You want to change at least half of your tank's saltwater.
Other than those above, your plan seem good.
Move your corals and LR into buckets first then catch your fish.
You can take some old tank water to new place, but it's not necessary as it doesn't really have much beneficial bacteria in the water.
If you have sand, get new sand or go bare bottom.
Set up tank at new place and check for leaks. Place LR in first and then acclimate corals and fish.

I have 200 gallons of salt on hand. Also no corals yet.

Perfect time to up grade to a bigger tank. Get bigger tank running, next day load up livestock. You have bigger tank. Save water from smaller tank. Put rock and sand in it. Just watch ammonia. Bam!

I wish. Not in the budget. I spent at least 3K so far and the tank is only a couple of months old.

Why do I need to replace the sand? I don't have any coral yet. It's a FOWLR with one frag of macro algea. Can I keep the sand in that case or I still need to ditch It?
I was assumed your tank was matured. Since it's only 2 months old. You can keep the sand as it has yet collect much detritus.

Sweet! Yeah my sand is still really clean. Most of the time food doesn't make it to the sand. Plus I vacuum it into a filter sock when I see anything. It's a deeper in the back, the fish always make it low on the front.

For 2 months old, drain it into buckets put the fish in some of the buckets and move it down the road. It still going to take most of the day, something always come up

Yeah I'm going to plan a whole day around it. Hope to get my son's 15 gallon tank moved too. That one I may not even drain all the way. Not sure yet.

Dangit! What's worse than a move you say? How about two moves. So I think I'm going to look at buying a house. My good friend and his wife are into real estate and he has been telling me for years to buy a house, that I make enough money and have good credit, etc. Us having to move got us thinking about getting our own home.

Went and had a meeting and sent in all my paperwork to my friend's wife and her coworkers. The finance guy said that I was the perfect candidate, my debt to income ratio was really good, my credit was excellent, etc. I gave them an estimate on how much I would want to pay for a month and he said I qualified for that and much more house. Although him and my friend's wife advised I don't know the exact amount that I quality for so I won't be tempted to go over budget.

Anyway, long story short it sounds that it may be very feasible to be purchasing a house within the next couple of months. Maybe longer but probably sooner. We will be able to double our square footage and gain an extra restroom and car width in the driveway and still be under budget.

Not fun having to share a restroom with 3 other people and now 4 with the baby. I'm kind of scared that it's the wrong decesion. Going to be a big step for me and my family.

Got some 25watt heaters for the 5 gallon buckets. Battery powered air stone pumps. Still need to get me a wet/dry vac. Going to get the one that goes on top of a home depot bucket. Will grab it when I go to get bucket and lids. Any other things I may be missing?

Buying a house was one of the best decisions I've ever made...you get nowhere paying rent to someone else to pay off their mortgage for them.
Might as well be that one paying your own mortgage, it's all yours in the end.

That’s great to hear man. Nothing is better than owning real estate. P.s. why did I always assume your tank was smaller than a 50? Lol

That's exactly what my friend's wife told me. Pretty soon I'm going to need a bigger vehicle. I financed a Ford focus ST a couple of years ago. Now with two kids the car is cramped and we are about out of space. I am 6'2" 250 pounds or so. Hopefully a little less haha. No one can fit behind me really. May have to test that tomorrow to double check. I'm ready for a truck. I also need to get married. Seems like total chaos right now, but hopefully we get it all figured out. Haha sorry for ranting.
