How to get btas to split?

So i have a 3 different color bta in my tank and im waiting on them to split, conditions are good in my tank. How do i get them to split? Has any ever attempted on cutting btas in half? Post here any links on splitting btas or your own experience.

there's a lot of vid on YT for how to cut BTA's. suppose to be easy but I'm yet to try it out myself.. but I do plan on doing it in the future. :)

Personally I just let them split when they are ready to split... Typically they will get to a certain size then *poof* you have two nems.

I am not in the nem business so I don't care when or if they split... When they do it is a bonus ;)

Cutting is supposed to work, but I am not going to try myself. Just seems dangerous...

The large water change can be problematic as your water could be considered "live" with micro organisms and nutrients. If you do a large water change, you are essentially stressing the btas which causes them to split, that may stress out other inhabitants in your tank, specifically corals.

yea your right about the water change, i usually do %30 once a month.

NEVER fragged a mushroom before lol. but i will look it up and check it out. I tried cutting a rbta in half but both pieces died 3 days later so i prob messed it up. So now i will try it out on a GBTA.
