How to make money for reef tank

How does everyone Sustain the hobby and keep cost low for example like selling frags. What I do is sell lobsters to pay for the coral

I did some freshwater maintenance because most people have freshwater, I’ve considered making rock stands and such but haven’t started yet. I’m also working on a project that I’m not gonna talk about yet but I’ll start selling hopefully soon

Im about to go to college, didnt want to spend that much money, but if you buy the equipment slowly then its not that bad. My tank didnt have lights for a few months but got my first job and got everything i needed. Moving my tank to a new stand soon, pimped out plumbing and everything

I work 14 hours a day for 14 days straight, in remote locations. Don’t “need” to do anything extra. My fish tank allowance is $1000 a week, almost have everything for my 400 gallon build, just need the tank and lights

Its an expensive hobby somtimes. You can get away with things and be budget oriented though!

Well before the economy took a dump this year I usually have extra money or OT to really stack it up.

...I don’t hunt anymore, don’t play golf anymore, don’t have 4 wheelers or boats, don’t go fishing with my buddies in Alaska & Central America, don’t have any vices (other than her), our kids are grown & it’s cheaper than therapy.

She said... ”go get your aquarium”
