I picked one up about two weeks ago. I like it, its real quick to set up, just plugs in and adjust your time interval. I notice that if you don't use the evolution pumps it makes them knock a bit, but it works well with the new maxi-jet pro. I like the maxi-jet pro better then the sure grip, mod looks alot cleaner...
For the price the smart wave is a decent choice, I have voretechs, polarios, and just about every other water motion device so I will keep it.

i got it really simple, easy to use and does its job reliably i got alittle knockingbut its not all the time and not bad, i recommend it, its a bit bigger than i thought it was gunna be but its not a big deal at all

I have a couple evo's. No issues with them starting up in reverse?

They should have fixed the issue with the Evo's from spinning back. If your pumps do that, contact Hydor and they will send you a part to fix it.

I got to play with the Smartwave and thought it was a good unit. I used Koralia Evolutions and the new Maxi-Jet Pro's and they worked alright.
