i have a red sea reefer 250 with 2 hydra 26hd and i am looking into lighting upgrade since i am going to be diving more into sps now. I was looking into the aquatic life hybrid fixture putting the hydras in the bracket and some t5 bulbs, my question was would there be a better more cost efficient led option? i do have a spare ai prime 16hd i could throw on the tank as well. thank you very much in advance!

Honestly, i think 2 hydra 26 HDs are perfect for a 36x 20 tank with 21" of height. Crank em up if youre doubting the par needs.

Otherwise, get the hybrid.

Efficent and coral growth are oxymorons when refering to lighting :)

Get the hybrid, mount the hydras with the prime in the middle. You will not want for light. If I didn’t have a stinking support brace running throttle middle of mine (Aqueon), that’s how I would set it up.
