Hydra edge shimmer question

I'm looking to buy a high end light and I've been researching the Hydra edge.
I also got to test out the old Hydra at the local fish store. Amazing colors.

But there's a problem that I forgot to ask them:

1. I don't want shimmer at all.
2. I want the natural look, as natural as possible like super brown corals, that means I have to turn up the white LEDs very high.
3. My research is telling me that the white LEDs in the Hydra edge is what's responsible for controlling the shimmer.

Is this correct?

If so, I can go look for another light like Radion.

You will get a shimmer from all lights. It is caused by surface agitation.
It doesn’t matter if it white, blue, green etc… they all shimmer. The reason you don’t notice it as much with a heavy blue color is the color is darker, but the shimmer is still there.
For a “natural” look you will want the white and blue channels to match intensity

Go with Freshwater AI Blades. Much more of a flat look and super white

If you want even less shimmer, go with some daylight T5s
