tank is doing well, still a spot of Cyano here nor there but I just roll with it. Cleaned out a spot for a third dosing head and a place to mount easyreefs booster and sps. Was just kind of a mess in there. I also installed a Tunze wave box running on the lowest setting, other than its size I’m please with it

Still have a bit of Cyano ever since running a whiter light setting, not really sure of the cause. Everything is thriving as doing well

phosphates holding at .11 and nitrates at 8

LPS in the tank are finally looking good after the light change other than the Duncan. PAR is the same but it has never been super happy since going to the straton’s and a whiter light. I moved it to a lower PAR spot today to see if it comes back to full size. Oddly enough the Duncan was always in a high PAR spot and happy so who knows

Good news is the SPS’s have never been better since swapping lights, picked up a Miss Piggy and one other from the TSA sale. Still some Cyano even though nutrients have been the same, anybody have any thoughts on why it would pop up? Lights are just about to go out-

LPS/SPS but with red set to 40

little blue but not nearly as blue as AB+

I found SPS didn’t start to really color until I added more white to the spectrum

Thanks! I can’t kick this Cyano, nutrients are all in line and flow is certainly not the issue. It’s not taking over the tank but just enough to get annoying after a week.

Dis you use live rock from another tank? How are the frags holding up?

I would rent a PAR meter, also I could never keep acan’s alive so don’t judge you success on that lol

I had a little 20 gallon tank that was always dirty as hell with nutrients off the charts with some algae growing everywhere, acans were always huge. Once they go in the display they always wither away.

I’ve thought about a par meter but with T5s and G4’s I’d figured it would be high enough. My tank is still to clean and I’ve turned everything off.

Picked up a Miss Piggy and an Optimis Prime from TSA that will be here tomorrow. On another note I have been dosing easysps and easy booster and the polyp extension has been great. I tested phosphates this morning and they were .01! Checked with Red Sea and was clear. They are not kidding that it lowers phosphates. Now I’m in a spot that I’ve never been with low phosphates. They always were around .11-.15

I was bored today and I’m tired of of my crappy water. Upgraded the RODI setup now with only 5 TDS to the DI from 14, have to clean up the wires and am currently burning off the membranes, Water here is terrible so screw you chloramines. Now making 7.7 gallons an hour with lower TDS, after the membranes make water for a bit the TDS may even drop a bit more to DI.

No I do not recommend spending this amount of money or effort on an RODI setup. Don’t be stupid like me
