Hydros ATO

So on one my tanks I have the hydros ATO setup with sensor and drive pump on controller. Well my newer tank don’t have the funds for the pump and controller. Would any pump work and just use a plug on my wifi strip to integrate with sensor for the ATO?

Have some rinky dink pump that doesn’t seem to have the head pressure but wanted to make sure I could even do this before I go out and buy a new pump.

I would not use a wifi outlet to power an ATO pump or AWC pumps. The reason is if you loose the communications between the controller and that wifi strip the outlet will stay in whatever state it was in when communication is lost until communication is restored even if it takes days for that. So if the ATO pump is on when it happens it will stay on until the communication is restored or power is removed from the wifi strip.
