Hydros for Home Assistant has moved to a new home and is packed with improvements!
https://github.com/johna-charles93/Hydros-Connect

What's New:
No-YAML Alexa Setup: Control your Hydros modes with voice, entirely through Home Assistant Settings. No scripts needed. "Alexa, feeding mode" - automatic return in 30 mins. Done.

Validate Setup Button: New health check button on your Hydros device. Hit it, get a report on what's working and what might need attention.

Restart-Safe Returns: Scheduled scene returns now survive Home Assistant restarts. No more lost automations after updates.

Moving to Hydros Connect:
The integration has moved to keep pace with CoralVue's official API launch. Migration is automatic through HACS. You don't have to do anything. If you need help, we've got docs: [HACS Migration Guide]

Official API Coming:
CoralVue just launched an official HYDROS API, and we're moving to support it. Here's what you need to know:
  • More secure (per-device keys, not account passwords)
  • More flexible (you control read/write permissions)
  • Better rate limits (official support)
  • Better support (official SLAs + developer forum)
No action needed yet. You can keep using account credentials for now. We'll have a smooth, phased migration when the time comes.

Full Details:

Happy automating! 🐠

Well done and thanks!

Thank you! If you have any suggestions or feedback please share!
It's going to be a while before I will set it up but will keep you posted. I also shared this thread with a number of R2R friends who have Hydros setups.

Awesome! Thank you! Once I receive API keys from Hydros I’ll be making some changes.

All of which are well documented in my repo.

Hydros Connect for Home Assistant : v0.6.4 is out, with official HYDROS API support.

You can now connect your HYDROS controller to Home Assistant using CoralVue's official Public API instead of your account password. When you add the integration you pick Official HYDROS API (recommended) or the old account login.

To use the API path:

  1. Request your own provider key from CoralVue: coralvuehydros.com/api (pick the "unlisted" option).
  2. Create a device key for each controller in the HYDROS app (read-only or read/write).
  3. Add the integration in Home Assistant and paste both keys.
Existing setups keep working for now. No rush to switch. Free and open source, install via HACS.

As always: don't rely on this for life-support functions. Keep critical control in HYDROS' native logic.
