Hi everyone i'm back. It's been awhile but i'm back in the hobby now. Well i just picked up a 30gal breeder and love the shallow tank as my other tank is a 29gal and will be turned into a sps tank. I'll be posting pics of the build as i get them done. So here is the tank.

I'll be building the stand within the next few weeks. I work pretty much everyday so i'll have to work on it when i can get to it. The tank will be drilled out on the back for custom overflow on each side of the tank. I'll be using a 20gal tank for the sump and a 10 gal for a refugium to grow chaeto. Well stay tuned for pics and updates.

Well i worked on the tank a little tonight. I drilled 3 holes in the back glass for 2 overflows and a return. I was going to make my own overflow then i got lazy and just bought the glass-holes overflow. I had them put the teeths in it too as the nano kits doesn't come with them. Here are some pics. I like them.

Very cool man!! Nice and mini! I like how the black doesn't have to go all the way to the bottom. Gives you more room in the tank. You doing to paint the back black too or leave it clear?

lookin good. lookin good. Just hope I dont mess mine up when I do it!

It was easy. I wouldn't use the holesaws on a 10 gallon or smaller tank though. The glass is too thin. I tried it on some last week and cracked all but one. The 30 breeder's glass is much thicker and more solid so it doesn't bend when your drilling. I did all 3 holes in like 15 mins. Just keep water running on the glass your drilling that's what i did and don't push too hard. Your just basically grinding the glass away slowly.

What's up Steve!!! Yep i'll be painting the back black also. Going to tackle that probably tomorrow. I love the shallow tank. Oh yes i love the mini overflows you'll barely notice them and they don't take up space.
