tisk tisk tisk! ha ha...you need to test that copper!

No for real, you sound like you gotta a plan that's working for you! I really would start testing the copper levels though.:D

I don't have to because I don't add any copper after. I just add the recommended amount and then after let the water evaporation just go and after a week top it off. Make sure salinity and pH are correct and then like I said the fish get rid of ich within a week you start seeing results. By two weeks it's gone and then the third week it's just making sure they don't have it. And then I'll keep them for 3 more weeks in there and copper levels are down obviously but like I said I don't add.

I have new stock in QT. Haven't begun any treatment yet. Just feeding them good foods. Waiting for the Regal Angle that will be here tomorrow. I will have that one, Powder Browm and yellow tangs, 7 blue green chromis, 3 cardinals, 2 engineer gobys. I want to dip them all in Formalin to start then put them in a sterile 40g system with copper and Parazipro. Dip and transfer again after 7 days. Then continue Copper and Parizopro treatments. What do you think about that plan?

What are the fomalin dips for? I don't think I would be comfortable doing formalin dips on fish that didn't have obvious need for it.

Many of the folks over on the Regal Primer suggested it. Should I do the Angel only. Why is it not recommended, because it is difficult to do safely and could risk the fish?

Formalin is very harsh on the fish. There is some anecdotal evidence that fish who have been treated with formalin live a shorter life. There are other medications or treatments that accomplish the same thing and should be done first before resorting to formalin IMHO. All of that and it's a carcinogen and potentially dangerous to humans as well.

I would do a freshwater dip before I did a formalin bath. It also depends on what the formalin bath is planned to treat for. If it's to preempt flukes, then a FW dip does that very well. If it's to preempt Brook, then an acryflavin bath does that very well.

Ok, so then I'll just keep them in the current QT and slowly increase copper, and start a treatment of Parazipro?

Is it normal to have some rapid breathing? The tangs seem to be breathing heavier just after adding Cupramine

My powder brown and chromis have crypto for sure. And I'm increasing the copper slowly like before. TheRegal in in a 10 gallon and slow adding copper to it also.

My yellow didn't seem to eat the mysis but he did poop a lot so must have been eating the nori. The Regal also ate mysis.

Are bright red fills a good thing, I am thinking yes.

Wait a sec. Bright red gills? Like redness around the gills or the actual gill tissue?

Redness around the gills is not normal and usually means ammonia poisoning. Is your ammonia badge working properly? Tried shining a white light behind it?

Could have been from the transport right?

Oh! Yes.. new fish can get ammonia poisoning during transport. I'll admit I didn't realize we were talking about a new fish. lol It still applies though. :)
