I have aiptasia issues.

Im fighting as well.. I just put 10 berghias in 2 weeks ago. Have not seen much of a difference yet.. Tried the wand for a long time.. If you use the wand you will end up with more aiptisia.. It melts them, then little particles are released in the water and end up somewhere else on your rocks.. Before you know it you in a worse position..

I'm starting to battle them as well. My peppermint shrimp used to keep them under control but Idk what happened. Bought 3 more haven't noticed a difference in aptasia. Was thinking of file fish but I got so many corals worth big money I'm scared lol. Was thinking of the bergias but heard if you have shrimp don't add expensive shrimp snack. Aptasia x works but it seems like they spread as well.

I had success with the aiptasia, I kept my hand there and squirted it onto them and around the area. However the real answer were 2 peppermint shrimp. One of them went missing a few weeks later. The second one is now about 2 years old, and I never have any issues with aiptasia any longer.

Berghias have been the most effective method for me, but buy at least 2 of them, they will reproduce.

I am not interested in adding a fish that could decide to eat the very corals I'm trying to protect. >.< My hubby is stuck on buying a flame angel so I'll have that to deal with that already. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Aptasia eating filefish. I had hundred and hundreds in my 220g, after the filefish only one or two here or there. U like a few aptasia so the filefish has something to stalk.

I recently ordered and used joes juice. Follow the easy instructions and the aptasia are gone within minutes and do not return. It does work. Only thing though , you have to spot treat each one individually. I only had six so it was easy.

From what I've seen so far, trying to kill these pain-in-the-butts with spot treatments is like trying to destroy a roach infestation by squashing individual bugs. It only works if there are only a couple and none hiding (and reproducing) where you can't see them.
