I need advice….

Ok guys….my lobo coral has gone down hill…I think it has BJD. I’ve tried hydrogen peroxide dips, iodine dips, and have tried relocating it several times in the tank…a while ago when I was browsing on here, I came across someone’s build thread…I wish I remembered who’s, so I could tag this person….but I saw they used Neosporin to treat BJD on a Goni, and they were successful….so as a last-ditch effort, I’m going to run to the store to get some…we’ll see how this goes…but I’m wondering, does this coral look to far gone already?

I moved it off the sand bed because bristle worms were inside it

And it really doenst look good in that last pic.

I wonder if Stings from bristleworm messed with it and it got infected??

Ok…I just covered it in neosporin and let it sit outside of water for 3 minutes, then returned it to the tank…I might be delusional/seeing things, but I think it looks slightly better!

Im curious to know how the neosporin does. Id assume get the kind without pain reliever in it

So the Neosporin just sat on top or did it mix into the flesh? If it's BJD or another infection, I can only imagine the antibiotic needs to be absorbed much more.

It sat on top, and it was also squished into the coral

BJD is caused by some significant parameters being off in your tank causing corals to stress and immune system failures. Bristleworms don't bother healthy corals but may feed on decaying dying corals.
