Hello all! I’m Geebs from Kansas! Been out of the hobby for a while now and getting back into it. I had been looking on Craigslist and Facebook for the right tank to catch my eye. Then this beauty came along, owner was selling the house and needed to get it out of there. After some wheeling and dealing and some more dealing when I noticed quite a few scratches on the bottom 1/4 of the front glass, I ended up getting this beauty for $150. Also includes a sump, assuming 30 gallons, a protein skimmer, 2 wave makers, heaters and other misc items. For $150 I thought I stole this thing. Can’t wait to get it up and running. Going to be a slow but steady process.

Welcome to R2R Geebs and the bowfront club! What part of Kansas are you out of?

We live in Olathe!

Great deal! Welcome back to the hobby!

I noticed your thermostat is right by the tank...the heat/moisture/salt creep may cause issues with it.
This was pics taken at the pickup location. I am removing everything, cleaning it and will start from fresh.

Forgot to mention it is a 92 Gallon.

Nice! You have a few more lfs' choices out your direction. Don't forget to start your build thread so we can watch this one come together!

We have been to a few, my 8 month old son is so fascinated and just stares. Pardon my ignorance, where do I start a build thread?

Welcome to R2R!

People actually live in Kansas?? ;Woot

I’m only joking of course ;) I grew up in the middle of Kansas.
Some people get out, kinda like a prison without the bars. :D

I escaped from Iowa, not sure if thats really an escape. Living just outside of KC is nice though.

I need to get my RO/DI system ordered. I havent checked from my tap by my local municipality water report states TDS of 320. Would I be better off with a 5 stage or would a 4 stage do the job? Looking at the BRS systems.

I picked up the 4 stage. Had to edit missed your test comment.

Did the report say anything about silicates or clorimines?
If yoyu have these in your source water. "I think" You need some type of special or extra filter. This can help You decide if a 4 or 5 stage is needed.
