Afternoon all! So, as the title states, I am thinking about getting a second acro! My tank is mostly fish and soft corals. I have a handful of LPS, and one small PC rainbow acro that seems to be doing really well, and growing. So I am thinking about getting another one. Can y'all give me some ideas of newby, easier ones to try? I am not new to saltwater at all, just new to SPS.

I would think about what color coral and then people can narrow it down. Also what level of light and flow.

It's worth checking your local reefer area.

I vote Green Slimer.

Yes, it can grow like a weed, but I think that's just what beginner SPS havers need!

It's also very affordable, some hobbyists in your area will give those away, they have great PE, and the color is unmatched!

This sps would be worth $$$ if it weren't such a hardy fast grower.

Those are doing great in my tank too. Watch the pavona they can get nasty with near by corals. ( I didnt know that lol)
Depends on the pavona. I had both in my 120. The hairy cactus pavona kills anything it touches.
The potato chip does not.
Cactus on the right, potato on the left.

Green slider is one of my all time favorites. Funny enough, it was very difficult for me to track down a frag of. It's hardy, it's bright, and it grows fast. What's not to love.

My favorite thing is its goofy growth pattern.

It grows like it doesn’t realize it’s in an aquarium; other acros are pretty tightly packed, and kind fits the scale of our tank.

Then there is the green slimer that just sends out random thick sparse sticks left and right like an antler.

Does anyone here know anything about a Gatorade acro? I really like the looks of them too!
