Hey there!

As the title suggests, I'd like to add a bit more of a biological filter for nitrate/phosphate export. I'm currently running a red sea reefer 425 xl, and while for the most part my algea is under control, there's still a bit of hair algae that makes it's way into the dt! I'd like to cut down on my phosphates a bit and keep them more stable from water change to water change-as well as just increasing the amount of biodiversity in the tank!

Right now I have a cheatomaxx light over sea lettuce in the sump. I was thinking about adding some dragon's breath algea, or perhaps some mangroves (especially in the dt-as I like the way they look). Can anyone tell me how to best care for the additional macroalgea?

Please see attached for the setup/dt. Let me know where you'd mount additional lighting/mangroves. Thanks!

I would use a faster growing macro like caulerpa or cheato and then watch your levels, harvest as required.
