Icecap 660 Driven T5 Set-Up - Too Much Light?

I have a 55g frag tank with 4x54w T5's driven by an IceCap 660. Bulbs are 2xATI Blue Plus and 2xATI Aquablue Special.

I have SPS i as well as other assorted LPS and zoa frags in it, and it seems like everything gets cooked. Even when I place SPS frags at the bottom they look like they're getting cooked. Is it possible that this is too much light over this tank?

If so, should I maybe switch to another ballast that doesn't overdrive the bulbs or keep the ballast and only run 4x39w or some other combo?

You should be fine for lights, but the big question is what light were the corals under when you got them? You may need to light acclimate them slowly to more intense light if the place you got them from was duller.

FYI I have a 6 bulb IC660 driven T-5 setup on my 75 and everything is fine.

All the frags have come out of my 75g lit by 2x250w 20k MH + 2x110w VHO

When I'm working in the frag tank it feels like I'm being sunburned!

Raise the IC system higher off the water and slowly acclimate them to the light. With the reflectors T-5s can be very intense.

I started them at 8" above the water and am now at 12" after modifying the canopy....I can't really raise them anymore without modifying it again which I'm not willing to do..hehe. Maybe try without reflectors and add one reflector a week?
