Hi Everyone,

Wanted to get any suggestions if my Scopas Tang has ich or velvet and what my next possible steps should be.

First time with a tang from my local LFS that had it quarantined before getting. I got him on Friday and he's been eating great and showing no signs of stress. Went out for a couple hours tonight and came back to him with many white spots.

I've had 2 Davinci Clowns and sixline wrasse for over a year and a half, added a sunburst anthias around a month ago and all have been doing great.

Are my next steps quarantining all my fish or just the tang? This is my first time dealing with ich or velvet.

Appreciate everyone's help on this!

It’s ich. There are few and you can count the dots. With velvet, too many to count and many behavioral changes. Quarantine is warranted and treatment will be copper safe. Make sure to acquire a reliable copper test kit- not API
