Ich vs Velvet

This is what foxface looks like 10 days into 0.5 Cupramine. Still obviously has velvet. What else can I do? Luckily all fish in QT are still eating.

Forgot to say I am testing with seachem copper test since I am using cupramine.

Have you double checked that 0.5 reading using a different test kit? LFS maybe?

I don't have another kit and I will have to call around to see if anyone will test copper for me. I live very rural and closest (45min) does not.

Unfortunately the foxface died this morning :) We finally got all his spots cleared up last week but this week he started with a mouth infection and got really skinny quickly. We were treating with kanaplex and furan 2 but the infection just kept spreading and he succumbed this morning. The three zebra dartfish appear fine. I will finish out their copper treatment and hopefully add to the display. Should I continue with the antibiotics? They have had 4 doses of furan 2 and 3 of kanaplex. I was going to start metro after the 4th dose of kanaplex.

Sorry about the loss of your beautiful foxface.
Yes, finish the antibiotics. Give them the full 10-14 day treatment. Stopping too soon can give the bacterial infection a second wind that can rapidly overtake a fish, or a whole tank full of fish.
