While treating for ich should I remove the sand for it to effectively work with the copper safe?

You are treating the entire tank, obviously?

Anything else in the tank?

I pulled out off the snails and invertebrates out of my reef tank with my coral and most rock. And put in a separate tank. So there is only a few rocks and sand and the fish. So I just put copper safe in it. I know I will have to get all the copper out before I put all my other stuff back in but I don’t know if I should also remove the sand and and throw it away while I’m treating my fish.

Should have removed all the fish and treated them in a QT tank, so your display won't have copper
