a few weeks ago i noticed a new face promenading around the tank. he is tiny so i did my best to take clear photos. google image search was no help, it just kept telling me it was a sea slug which cant be since he has a shell. any idea what he is?? (praying he’s not invasive because i love him like a son)

He is awesome!

Did you use LR, if so from where?
I am tempted to say Cowrie, or Cone.

I think it's a type of cowrie, but I'm not great at cowrie ID. The flesh typically covers the shell on my money cowries too.

Some cowries can be fantastic algae eaters. Others feed on coral.
