id my montipora!

my LFS said it was the capricornus in their display but I'm thinking not.... its not growing right.

Looks like a Capricornus to me, growth formation is going to be dictated by flow and lighting as well.

Looks like a monti cap to me. Its just small.

It's not a M. capricornis, it has coenosteum ridges. It looks closer to M. hodgsoni, care would be the same as M. capricornis.

I agree 100%. And I'd like to add that if it is I would move it to low light. That's where it will color best.

THANK YOU! the hodgsoni pics i just checked out look exactly like the mother colony it came from! ill let my lfs know so they don't miseducate any other less knowledgeable customers!
