The polyps remind me of a birds nest but the growth is odd. How long has it been growing in your tank? It may be a Seriatopora species that hasn’t taken off with height yet.Hello experts! I got this sps yesterday, could you help me to ID? If more pictures are needed I can provide.
I got it yesterday. Guys on the shop did not know the name of it.The polyps remind me of a birds nest but the growth is odd. How long has it been growing in your tank? It may be a Seriatopora species that hasn’t taken off with height yet.
I have a Seriatopora with slightly more rounded tips. Seriatopora guttatus as well as caliendrum seem to have rounded off tips over highly pointed tips like the popular Seriatopora hystrix.Polyps look more like a stylo. Skeleton is more rounded than pointed too.
Hi I appreciate your input. I think that only with more time I will be able to determinate with more accuracy what is the coral I have hereI have a Seriatopora with slightly more rounded tips. Also, if you look closely enough in the photo the polyps aren’t all closely in touch and instead are in slightly more of a spread out pattern on the bit that is growing up. Whereas with Stylophora the polyps are rather compact and almost touching.
