I just finished carving it off with an xacto knife. God dangit. I hope this was the only one.

I just got some chaeto from the LFS and put it in the sump yesterday! Also been feeding live brine from same LFS last 3 days. I freshwater dipped the chaeto...

Now to keep an eye out.

Thanks!

There’s another, 1cm down from this one. Tempted to dip the coral but I think I’ll try lemon juice. I may have made a mistake by cutting the other one off as that can cause a population explosion. Great.

since its o the base and you can remove it from the tank I would take the coral out and drop some peroxide on the aptasia. or put a dab of glue on it. make sure you cover all of it and don't get any on the coral itself.

I don't think dipping the coral will get rid of them. I'd pull the piece and dig out what you can then superglue the hole.

Yeah, probably not great to go cutting up aiptasia. Every bit of tissue that remains will form a new anemone.

The ideas above are all viable to get rid of them. I think the others are referring to coral glue...

I had 2 in my tank on in the sand I scooped out a second in my rock work. I tried lemon juice, peroxide, glue and then I bought the small bottle of aptaisa x and no more for 11 bucks was well worth it

Lemon juice was going to be my next move but I just looked up Aiptasia X. If I start seeing more and more on things that can’t be easily removed I’ll likely go in that direction.
