As many triggers as I could get in a big tank. Clowns, Picassos etc. They were the fish that amazed me the most when I was a kid.

No, I don’t think so. There’s smaller kinds that get a few inches, flamboyant cuttlefish are cool. You just gotta get them breeding because they have a really short lifespan

at that time , ( 20 years ago ) selection wasn’t as plentiful

I had a seahorse/pipefish tank for 5 years. I looked into dragons back then when the only two pair were traveler's between public aquariums. Almost $4k for a pair! I stopped looking.

I remember a local wholesaler having some for $850 each way back in the 90's. Should have jumped and breed them!

I know ppl do em but i havent. Id like to do a flordia seagrass lagoon with seahorses. Pipefish. Sandy bottom. Flounder. Maybe some grass shrimp that are all green and post vertical on the mangroves and seagrass. Would be kool. Hard i think. Like a big shallow frag tank maybe.
